Monkey Puppet meme template
Describe an awkward remark or a moment when someone risks being noticed. The puppet's sideways glance can stand in for a silent attempt to avoid involvement.
Monkey Puppet comes from the Japanese children's television program Ōkiku Naru Ko, whose puppet reactions circulated as images online. The sideways glance suggests someone noticing an awkward situation and trying to avoid involvement. It suits overheard arguments, suspicious coincidences, and moments when a conversation comes dangerously close to exposing the observer. A caption that places the puppet near trouble gives the eyes something to evade without requiring the character to confess or respond.
